Councilwoman Victoria Seaman

Councilwoman Victoria Seaman was elected in a special election on June 11, 2019, to complete the term for Ward 2. She won re-election in the primary of June 2022 for another four years with 55% of the vote, ending her term in 2026. She is currently on the Debt Committee, Yucca Mountain Nuclear Repository Committee, Southern Nevada Water Authority (Alt), Recommending Committee, and Chair of the Audit Committee by the mayor's appointment. In addition, she is on the advisory committee of Chamberlin University.


Councilwoman Seaman is originally from California and is a descendant of José Antonio de la Guerra y Noriega, father of the land of the Californios. She is proud of her long and rich Hispanic heritage. She has lived in Nevada since 2005.


Councilwoman Seaman spent one term and two special sessions in the Nevada State Legislature representing Clark County's Assembly District 34. In the Assembly, she was the Southern Majority Whip, Vice Chair of the Commerce and Labor Committee, and served on the Judiciary and Legislative Operations Committees. She has an associate degree in Political Science from the College of Southern Nevada and a Bachelor of Science in Urban Studies with a minor in Family Studies degree(s) from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, Nevada, stemming from her passion for serving the community. In addition, she was inducted into the Urban Studies Honor Society by the Upsilon Sigma chapter at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Public Policy and Leadership.


As an elected official and community leader, Councilwoman Seaman has advocated for issues important to Nevada. She has legislated on lower taxes, fewer government regulations for small business owners, guardianship issues to protect seniors, human rights, and issues related to Animal Welfare. She has also given many volunteer hours to her church, charities, and various not-for-profits, serving on the advisory committee for Friends of Parkinson's. Her recent awards include the International Christian Academy Community and Leadership award, recognition from Friends of Parkinson's, Friends of Recovery award from the Foundation for Recovery, and a medal award from Marsy's Law for victims' advocacy. Her passion is giving back to her community and serving others.


Her ten years of formal education, training in esthetics, and subsequent 26 years of business experience, strong entrepreneurial spirit, and a keen eye for detail are leadership attributes that have afforded her success in business and politics. She holds Real Estate and Business Broker licenses in the State of Nevada. She also created, founded, and owned Day Spas and successfully designed and manufactured high-end bath, body, and skincare product lines. She successfully sold those businesses in 2004 and 2009 but still holds her esthetics license.

Victoria and her husband, John, have been married for 19 years. They love animals and share their home with four dogs, Pierre, Coco, Jacque, and Blu Theo (Bully).
